Scholarships

Dade Medical College offers a limited amount of scholarships each year, one being the Gildiana Soza Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded in memory of a brave little girl whose valiant fight against cancer touched the lives of many South Florida residents. Established in 2009, this full scholarship was first awared to the mother of the girl but is now given to a person who through a judged essay is able to demonstrate extreme personal and financial hardship.

In 2011, Dade Medical College created the Associates in Nursing Program Scholarship in partnership with Miami-Dade County School Board Member Raquel Regalado. This yearly program will award 50 scholarships to graduating seniors - one for each public high school in Miami-Dade County based on academic performance, community service and personal letters of recommendations. All applicants are required to write a 500-word essay on why they feel they are deserving of the opportunity, must meet all eligibilty requirements and pass the nursing program entrance exam. More information about the 2012 scholarship program will be available soon.

Dade Medical College is a member of the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges (FAPSC) and through this organization offers yearly scholarship opportunities to graduating high school seniors. There are $5,000.00 scholarships available to students graduating in 2012. Please visit http://flcareers.org for more information and to learn how to apply.

According to our school catalog, a scholarship is a financial grant which does not involve repayment by a student. Financial need may or may not be a consideration as criteria when applying for a scholarship award.
