DMC’s institutional accrediting body, the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) recently announced that it has achieved recognition by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), effective January 20, 2014.
This means that radiography, radiation therapy, nuclear medicine, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and sonography programs within ABHES-accredited institutions are now eligible to apply to the ARRT for recognition — enabling graduates to take the... Read more

It is the moment when hard-working students are welcomed into their field by their mentors -- the faculty and staff that have trained them. Dade Medical College's first pinning ceremony was held in May of 2012 following a design contest among all GRT students. The graduating students of 2012 received the first pins ever created for a program at Dade Medical College. Dr. Carlos Palet began working for Dade Medical College in 2005 as Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound Program Director. As a founding member of our institution, he nurtured our students’ growth and helped build DMU into our largest program during his initial tenure. Before joining DMC, Dr. Palet served as Consultant Professor and Chief for the Department of Radiology at Enrique Cabrera Hospital, as well as teaching post-graduate ultrasound courses in abdomen and gyneco-obstetrics.

This past Friday, Feb. 7th, USMF and DMC were part of Giralda Under the Stars, a monthly outdoor event organized by the City of Coral Gables. Students, staff, and their families enjoyed great food, drinks, music, and fun. USMF and DMC gave out free vouchers which entitled students and staff to enjoy the varied offerings from participating restaurants and merchants.
